Matt Jackson brings decades of hands-on motorsports experience to Gear1 Racing—building competitive race programs, developing people and products, and creating partnerships designed to deliver value on and off the track.
Beyond the Family Business
Matt Jackson built his own path in the sport.
He founded Proline Pit Carts, manufacturing high-end pit equipment, and designed the Proline Pull Down Machine—a practical, more affordable system built for Saturday-night racers. He also created and operated the Toyota Southwest Super Late Road Race Series, the first stock-car road-race series built around existing NASCAR Super Late Models and one of the earliest series to feature live internet coverage.
As a driver coach, spotter, crew chief, and chassis specialist, Matt has spent years developing teams and cars the right way. His technical experience also includes designing and mounting race-car bodies for maximum aerodynamic advantage.
Most recently, he developed Gear1 Classifieds—the first mobile app dedicated to the entire motorsports industry—giving racers, teams, and businesses one platform to connect, buy, and sell easily from their phones.

I have spent my life in racing, and I understand that sponsorship has to mean more than putting a name on the side of a car.
On the track, the goal is always to compete and win. But racing is also entertainment. Fans come to the track to feel the excitement and be part of something they will remember.
My job is to make your brand part of that experience — understanding what you need, then working with your team to create something that connects with fans both at the track and away from it.

2023
HISTORY MADE
In 2023, Lowden / Jackson Motorsports made history when Tyler Reif delivered the team’s NASCAR national event victory. Co-owned under the Lowden / Jackson Motorsports name and operated by the Jackson family, the team became the only team in history to achieve that accomplishment.
The win represented another defining chapter in a legacy built on hands-on preparation, race-winning equipment, and decades of experience at every level of the sport. It was more than a win—it was proof that the knowledge, preparation, and winning standard built through decades of Jackson racing could compete and succeed on one of the sport’s biggest stages

1975 - 2026
WINNING STILL TODAY
Matt Jackson has continued the Jackson standard from the pit box as RJ’s crew chief. After working together during RJ’s first ARCA start, the pair reunited in 2025. Competing on a limited budget, they earned two wins and finished second in the championship standings.
In June 2026, they opened their next campaign with a win in their first race together—proof that preparation, experience, and a commitment to doing things the right way still deliver results.
THE NEXT GENERATION
In 2026, Tony Jackson’s son, Christopher, began his own racing journey. As another generation of the Jackson family takes to the track, the tradition of hard work, competition, and a love for racing continues.
THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Jackson Race Cars is a family business
What began with Dave and Mandy grew through the shared work of their sons, Matt and Tony, who were involved in every part of the business from an early age.
Dave Jackson still plays a pivotal role in the business. He remains involved on the engineering side, building spindles and A-arms and, of course, continuing to build his well-known Watts link assemblies.
Today, both Matt and Tony carry the Jackson standard forward in their own ways—through the shop, race teams, competition, and the same hands-on commitment to building better racecars.
Matt’s current work as a crew chief, driver coach, and racing professional has continued that tradition on the track. His focus now is on Gear1 Racing, his new team, as well as Gear1 Classifieds, a new mobile app scheduled to launch in October.
Tony continues to build chassis and repair racecars while serving as a crew chief for multiple race teams. He also helps teams with chassis setup, guidance, and the knowledge gained through decades of hands-on experience.
The next generation has already begun its own chapter. Tony’s son, Chris Jackson, started racing in 2026, continuing a family tradition that began more than five decades ago. And who knows—perhaps Tony’s other son, Anthony Jackson, will be behind the wheel next.
