Jackson Race Cars is a family business.
It began with Dave and Mandy Jackson. What started with Dave’s deep passion for chassis engineering, fabrication, and the drive to be the best grew into a multi-generational racing operation—one later carried forward by their sons, Matt and Tony Jackson.
From the beginning, the focus was clear: design and build better racecars. Dave’s hands-on approach to chassis development and fabrication quickly produced results.
The first race win came in 1975 with Tru Cheek behind the wheel.
In 1978, that commitment led to championship success with Gary Johnson, who would later found Fluidyne Radiators.
Those early years set the standard. Jackson Race Cars did not simply field competitive teams—they engineered and built the cars that won. Over the decades that followed, the family continued designing, fabricating, and racing its own chassis, earning a reputation throughout the West Coast for toughness, performance, and results.
The work extended far beyond the shop floor. Jackson Race Cars built championship-winning NASCAR short-track chassis, maintained customer cars, operated successful race teams, and developed house cars that carried the Jackson name to victory lane.

Since the 1970s, the Jackson family has designed and built its own racecar chassis and suspension components.
Every chassis, spindle, bracket, mount, and setup decision was made with one purpose: to give the driver a better car beneath them when it mattered most.
That knowledge was earned through decades of measuring, fabricating, testing, racing, solving problems at the track, and refining every detail back in the shop.

Jackson Race Cars did not simply build competitive racecars—they built winners.
With driver Nick Joanides behind the wheel, the Jackson Race Cars team earned 17 wins, 38 top-five finishes, and three championships in just two years.
The program became the only team to ever win both the Super Late Model and Late Model championships in the same year. In addition, the team finished second in NASCAR national points—creating one of the most successful records in West Coast short-track racing.
Those results were the product of a complete approach: cars built with purpose, preparation completed in the shop, and race-day decisions made from experience.
